Egressing the Antenna

The animation featured below contains a deep zoom-out of the Mandelbrot set in the "antenna". The animated video starts at the coordinates of ~ - 1.9994915 , - 4.918e-4i with a zoom magnification of 3.46114 e+10. This animation gives some insight of the complex details such

Slope Julia Zoom-In with Ultra Fractal 6

The following animation is a zoom in of a Julia Set (c=1.72+0i) with The Slope Julia formula, which according to Ultra Fractal, is a "Julia set that creates 3-D lighting effects when combined with the Lighting coloring algorithm." However, the Lighting coloring algorithm was

Creating IFS Fractals with GIMP

In the GIMP open source image manipulation program, there is a plug-in that uses IFS (Iterated Function System) fractals. Using the IFS fractal plug-in is not only useful with creating plant-like shapes as well as strange and imaginative shapes but can also provide a better understanding of

Experimentation with Nova Fractals.

This following animated videos are based on the Nova fractal formula using the Ultra Fractal software. They are modified Newton fractals that can display many "mini-brots" upon zooming in certain areas. (Animated videos and music made by James Coll). 0:00 /0:10 1× 0:00 /0:

Animation: Magnetic Shifts

The following two animated videos are based on magnetic fractals which ultrafractal.com states are "Created by a formula that models the way magnets behave under high temperatures." This creates images similar to the Julia and Mandelbrot set, however the patterns are more intricate and displays more of
