Slope Julia Zoom-In with Ultra Fractal 6
The following animation is a zoom in of a Julia Set (c=1.72+0i) with The Slope Julia formula, which according to Ultra Fractal, is a "Julia set that creates 3-D lighting effects when combined with the Lighting coloring algorithm." However, the Lighting coloring algorithm was not used in this video, instead the video is made using two layers (similar to the layers of photo editing software) with two different gradients while utilizing the coloring algorithms of Decomposition on the first layer and Plug-in Gradient on the background layer and the combination of the two gives an embossed appearance. Finally, the animated zoom-in starts at 1X and ends at 722.82X magnification and finishes with an animation of the first layer's gradient control point to create a "shadow" effect.
An animated zoom-in of a Julia Set. Music made with LMMS and edited with Open Shot which are both open-source software programs.
