Experimentation with Nova Fractals.

This following animated videos are based on the Nova fractal formula using the Ultra Fractal software. They are modified Newton fractals that can display many "mini-brots" upon zooming in certain areas. (Animated videos and music made by James Coll).

This animation zooms in on an area that is similar to a regular Mandelbrot set, however, the "spirals" appear to be breaking away from the seahorse valley.

Zooming in further up the "antenna" shows another "mini-brot" albeit heavily distorted.

Sweeping the starting point across the real axis toward the negative region reveals the Newton fractal "chain-links".

"Nova-One"

The animated video titled "Nova One" uses the techniques of shifting the starting point across the real axis and deep zoom in different areas . Also, this video employees different types of transformations or effects, which is mostly why the fractals appear much different than the above three videos of this post.
